I'm Katherine and I am a 'multi-passionate' small business owner and independent professional. I am a marketing strategist and small business consultant working with local brick & mortar small business owners, independent professionals, freelancers and service providers, creatives, VAs, soloprenuers, start-ups, and wannabeprenuers.

As a small business owner myself, it is my passion to assist others to better fulfill their dreams.  I am an intuitive business strategist who guides and supports solopreneurs and small business owners to build better business by using creative strategies and practical tactics. I am the owner-partner of Cincinnati based Telemedia Technologies, Inc. (TTI), my family's business that started in New York in 1970. We relocated to Cincinnati in 2011 to our dream 'cabin in the woods'. We are excited to now offer our expertise to individuals and small businesses as well as to our corporate customers.

My background is in visual design and display, merchandising, sales, and training.  As a kid I was interested in art, music reading and writing. I went to school for floral design and horticulture and became a floral designer. I became certified as an interior designer after attending the Metropolitan Institute of Design in New York. However, shortly after, I began representing Apple through an outsource company.

 Apple Daze


Based in New York City, I was responsible for the reseller channel in the North East. My marketing experience began when working with Apple in 1998. I spent five years working with them via MarketSource, the outsource marketing company. Prior to the launch of Apple’s own retail stores, I worked in the reseller channel to ensure delivery of Apple’s corporate brand identity, image, strategy, and training. 

 

Presenting and selling Apple was a challenge before iPod and iPhone! There were many objections to overcome from store managers, sales associates, and customers alike.  Based in New York City, I was responsible for the reseller channel in the North East and later in the South East. 

 

I developed relationships, conducted training on product knowledge as well as Apple selling strategies. I ensured proper display of Apple’s 'marcom' assets maintaining the Apple ‘store-within-a-store’ experience.

🎣 Hooked on Marketing


Working with Apple was truly a privilege and a pleasure, and got me hooked on marketing! I increased sales and product knowledge in my NYC market for which I received several acknowledgments and awards from Apple and won several sales contests. I later relocated to the South East region where I supervised over 40 part-time ‘Apple Power Reps’ in ten states. Training at the Apple Campus and attending Steve Jobs' keynotes at Macworld Expo several times over the years, I interfaced with department heads from sales, product line managers and the 'marcom' group.

 

It was truly a privilege and a pleasure. It was an amazing experience and got me hooked on marketing! At the end of 2003, I left when I had my third child. Since that time I have primarily focused on being a wife and mother. My husband and I had a business in design and manufacturing of courtesy phone systems and electronic signage. I assisted him in his business. Now he has a freelance consulting business and does technical merchandising. I have been doing social media and campaign management.
